Heidi and Ben

I shot some engagement pictures with Heidi and Ben at The Reston Town Center.
As some of you may know, I am new to the area, so the chance to discover this cool shopping area was a blast.
We had a fun day and got some really great pictures. These two are a couple of "pros" in front of the camera.

Colin Round 3

Ok, finally got some action shots of Colin.
Irish Step Dancing is amazing, and very tiring.
Colin is in great shape, and so flexible it is scary!

I wish........

I had the energy of little T!

This little cutie has a motor that is always running on overdrive.

Sometimes my job is easy.....

I had the pleasure of spending yesterday afternoon with two wonderful children.

When kids are as adorable as this, AND they are sweet as these two............my job is easy.

I hope E and T had as much fun as I did!

Brides Washington Magazine

Thanks to Laura at Soiree Special Events! Her kind words about my photography were published in the Fall issue of Brides Washington Magazine.
I also wanted to thank my longtime graphic designer Jay Golien. Anyone looking for greatness should go to his site Olas Creative.

Massanutten

Just got back from Massanutten Resort located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. Its a four season mountain vacation spot with more activities than you could pack into a week. It has a ski area in the Winter, and a golf course in the Summer. There is also an amazing water park, go carts, mini golf, fitness center, horses, tennis, and three different pools.

We also loved the mountain tubing, as you can see by these pictures.

We went on a challenging mountain bike ride. Three miles downhill to start out, a single track ride through the woods, and finishing with a trek back up the three mile hill!! (It would have killed mortals.)
It was a great vacation.

Nationals vs Mets

We caught the Nationals against the Mets this week. Used the DC Metro for the first time. It worked out great.
The Nats have really done a nice job with their new stadium. I have been to the stadiums of the Red Sox, Yankees, Mets, A's, Mariners, Dodgers, Angels, Diamondbacks, Padres, Rays, and Orioles. This is my third favorite stadium. Behind Seattle and Boston. (Fenway rules!)

We had fantastic seats behind home plate, but the Mets beat the Nats with a great pitching performance by Johan Santana.

Ivana and Dan

Ivana and Dan working on some dance steps.

I got a lesson on the beautiful settings available in the Washington DC area. Ivana and Dan took me around to some of their favorite spots and we got some great shots.Union Station was busy with people but elegant and huge.

We went over to the Kennedy center.

And we finished up in the Georgetown area. A great day.

Colin's 1st round of Senior Portraits

I shot Colin for his senior portrait. We are going to do several rounds of photos, including some in his "outfit". Colin is a champion Irish Dancer and has a great costume for the many competitions he enters. In fact, after a long layoff due to a broken toe, he won the very first contest he entered.

A bad situation turns good

Christina's long-time friend, Joanne, was flying back from vacation and got stuck at Dulles. She called us and we spent a wonderful afternoon with her and her two boys.

This little monkey beat me at Scrabble.

A big time Sox fan.

A little Angel....

I had the pleasure of photographing little A. Such an Angel!

Mom and Dad could not be nicer people.

I love those little feet.

A and B

I had a great time shooting A and B last week. They are two great kids and we had a lot of fun.
